We will book accommodation on your behalf as is detailed under each trip itinerary. Please note that prices are generally based on two people sharing a twin room (or similar). If a private room is required this can be arranged, but will come with an additional cost. Unless stated elsewhere this will be 50% of the value of the trip. We will ensure that you share a room with a person/persons that you feel comfortable with. Where bookings are for couples or friends you will be placed in the same room.
Where breakfasts are included these will be on a self-serve basis. You must make us aware of any allergies or food intolerances when booking the trip. Evening meals, when provided in the accommodation, will be catered or cooked as a group. Where meals are catered we must have time to make the catering company aware of any allergies or intolerances that will affect their ingredients or preparation. Where foods are cooked in a group setting it is vital that the host and other parties are make aware of the same allergies or intolerances.
ACTIVITIES & PARTICIPATION
Where activities are included in the itinerary we will provide contact details of guides or instructors that are qualified and insured to lead these. By agreeing to participate in such an activity you agree that you are fit and well enough to do so, with an appropriate amount of experience. If there is any doubt you are able to talk directly with the guide/instructor prior to booking. Your booking is between the professional and yourself, and Summit, Sea & Serenity Ltd do not form any part of this contract, or take responsibility for such.
Where there is access to hiking, walking, swimming or any other outdoor activity you agree to participate 'at your own risk'. If one of our team joins the group this is not in the capacity of guide or instructor, and you are personally responsible for ensuring that your health, fitness and capability is adequate.
INSURANCE
You are responsible for making sure you have adequate travel and medical insurance in place for any of the retreats. This insurance must cover any of the activities you may choose to participate in
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are adequately insured. When booking a retreat you agree to take out a FULL and comprehensive travel insurance, and which will include cover against the cost of cancellation by you and assistance (including repatriation) in the event of accident or illness to you or any of your party, either before or during your week. Your chosen insurance must also cover you in the event of any matters arising that may lead to your national gov’t advising against non essential travel to the country in which the trip is taking place. This should include but is not limited to incidents arising due to natural disaster, strikes, terrorism, war or pandemic.
It is imperative that your travel insurance covers activities undertaken on your retreat (sailing, swimming, snorkelling, skiing etc, as a minimum) and importantly recognizes a yacht as your accommodation for the trip. For policies which limit sailing activities to a particular distance offshore, please be advised that we do not sail more than 15 miles from any coast line or port of safe haven. Adventure sailing is excluded from this.
When booking a ski retreat you must ensure you have FULL and comprehensive insurance that covers you to go off-piste, ski-tour, and into the back-country.
If you have any doubts about the level of cover required, or any pre-existing health conditions, it is your responsibility to discuss this with your travel insurance provider prior to booking. #
We also suggest to EU residents that you have European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) which will allow reciprocal rights for EU citizens to free access to public hospitals in the event of severe injury or illness. This does NOT absolve you of your responsibility to take out comprehensive travel insurance which provides health insurance covers all potential injury and illness.
A non-refundable deposit is due when booking a trip. This amount will vary from trip to trip and can be found in each itinerary. When you book your trip you agree to these terms and that you will not try to invoke a refund through any payment platform or credit card company.
The full payment for the trip is due 21 days before the start date of the trip.
Once the amount of the trip is paid in full it is non-refundable.
