At Summit, Sea & Serenity, we're passionate about wellness, health and adventure.
Our Summer Solstice Retreat will include twice daily yoga practice, as well as mindfulness, meditation and breathwork. We will find beautiful locations to meditate in nature, helping us to find a deeper connection with ourselves, and the incredible natural world that surrounds us. Beautiful hikes, stunning cross country bike trails and wild swimming will be on offer, giving you the opportunity to push your limits if you wish to. Of course, should you prefer to take a short stroll into the town and around Lake Derwentwater instead, we completely understand. This is your retreat, and we will support you with however you wish to spend your time.
Two catered meals will be provided at the Chalet, and we can walk into Keswick to enjoy one of the local restaurants.
We hope you will leave us feeling relaxed, recharged and ready to face the world with new energy, with new friendships and a sense of achievement.
Arrival to Borrowdale View. You will be greeted with a glass of Prosecco and shown to your room. Dinner will be a catered buffet in the Chalet, a chance to meet your hosts, instructor and connect with new friends.
After a relaxed breakfast and some time to relax, or perhaps do some journalling, we will have our first Yoga practice of the day.
There will be the option to hike into the stunning surroundings.
For those that would like to we can hire bikes and cycle around some of the beautiful trails. It is really quite an incredible feeling to hold a meditation session on the top of a summit you have just reached.
We can visit the nearby Lake Derwentwater. A beautiful place to take a boat and explore the Lake, and for the brave, to take a swim. We will find a quite space to meditate and reflect, a moment to connect with nature, and our wilder inner selves.
We welcome the longest day of the year at the Castlerigg Stone Circle (link below).
For those feeling adventurous we will wake before the sunrise and walk to the Stone Circle. Here we will welcome Midsummer with a beautiful Meditation, a stretch, and some coffee and croissants!
Each day will be carefully planned so that you have some time to relax, as well as take part in our yoga practice and other activities. Our own lovely Sarah will be on hand to offer guided mindfulness sessions, and for those who would like it, one to one coaching.
